The following awards are presented each year at the AATF-WI Business Meeting. Any AATF-Wisconsin member may nominate a candidate for either award.  Nomination forms are due by March 15 to the AATF-Wisconsin President.

The Concours Pédagogique is designed to help educators be more reflective in their own planning and to promote the sharing of standards-based and AP-aligned units between colleagues at all levels as a benefit to all of our members.

 

Qualifications:

A. Entrant must be AATF-Wisconsin member in good standing.

B. Entry materials must be original and property of the entrant, or properly attributed.

C. Entry must contain some technology component.

D. Entrant must agree to have materials shared by AATF-WI under a CC BY-NC-SA license.

E. Entrant must complete all three alignment checklists.

 

Award:

The award will be a certificate and one year’s membership to AATF.

          CONCOURS PÉDAGOGIQUE F.A.Q.

The Étoile Montante Award recognizes an AATF-Wisconsin member’s outstanding dedication to world language education as exhibited through professional involvement, leadership and dedication to the association.

 

Qualifications:

A. Recipient must be an AATF-Wisconsin member in good standing.

B. Recipient must be a member of the AATF-Wisconsin for at least 1 year.

C. Recipient must be a current teacher of French.

D. Recipient must be actively engaged in teaching for no more than 5 years.

E. Recipient may represent any educational level.

 

Award:

The award will be a certificate and AATF-WI’s nomination and sponsorship at the Future Leaders Fellowship at the upcoming AATF National Convention. 

 

          ÉTOILE MONTANTE NOMINATION FORM

The Héros du Français Award recognizes a non-French teacher’s support and dedication to French and/or the study of French outside of the classroom, either in the school or in the community.

 

Qualifications:

A. Recipient must be not be a current French teacher.

B. Recipient may be a colleague, administrator, community member, group  or company who supports French and/or the study of French outside of the  classroom.

 

Award:

The award will be a certificate and a small gift

 

          HÉRO DU FRANÇAIS NOMINATION FORM

The Distinguished French Educator Award recognizes an AATF-Wisconsin member’s outstanding

c­­ontributions to world language education as exhibited through dedication, excellence in teaching, professional growth, including but not limited to self-education, formal education, publications and leadership.

 

Qualifications:

A. Recipient must be AATF-Wisconsin member in good standing.

B. Recipient must be member of the AATF-Wisconsin for at least 5 years.

C. Recipient must be current teacher of French.

D. Recipient must be actively engaged in teaching for at least 10 years.

E. Recipient may represent any educational level.

 

Award:

The award will be $100 and a certificate.

 

         DISTINGUISHED FRENCH EDUCATOR NOMINATION FORM

The Certificate of Recognition recognizes an AATF-Wisconsin member’s  contributions to world language education.

 

Qualifications:

A. Recipients must be AATF-Wisconsin members in good standing.

B. Recipients must be members of the AATF-Wisconsin for at least 3 years.

C. Recipients must be actively engaged in teaching for at least 3 years.

D. Recipients may represent any educational level.

 

Award:

The award will be a certificate.

 

          CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION NOMINATION FORM

The Excellence in French Award recognizes students’ exception commitment to the study of French while maintaining honor grades in all his/her other classes.

 

Qualifications:

A. Recipient must be in or beyond their 3rd year of French study.

B. Recipient must maintain an “A” average in French.

C. Recipient must maintain a “B” average in all his/her classes.

D. Recipient must be a non-native speaker of French.

E. Recipient must be a graduating senior.

 

Award:

The award will be a certificate and a $250 scholarship.
