Étoile Montante

About this Award

Purpose:​ The Étoile Montante Award recognizes an AATF-Wisconsin member’s outstanding dedication to world language education as exhibited through professional involvement, leadership and dedication to the association.

 

Eligibility:  ​Recipient must be an AATF-Wisconsin member in good standing for at least 1 year and be a current K-16 teacher of French with no more than 5 years in the profession.

 

Award:  ​A Certificate of Recognition.  The winner will be recognized at the annual WAFLT AATF-WI Meeting in November.

 

Nomination Procedure:

  1. Nominations can be submitted by AATF members who have indicated "Wisconsin" as their affiliate chapter. If you are unsure of your status, you can log into the national AATF  site (frenchteachers.org) to check. 

    Nominations may also be submitted by a student or a community member without an AATF membership.
     

  2. To nominate someone as an Étoile Montante, please fill out this Nomination Form and include a letter of endorsement from you.  You may also self-nominate for this award and include a personal statement.
     

  3. Nominations are accepted any time throughout the year until December 15 for that calendar year. Nominations received after December 15 will be considered for the following calendar year.
