Bonjour.

My name is Alexandra Sprager. I live and work in Southeastern Wisconsin and have been teaching 6-12 French here for 15 years. I am thrilled to be involved with AATF as an officer.

My French Journey

My French language journey began before birth as I am the daughter of a retired French teacher. Although we did not speak French at home, I began private French lessons at the age of eight. I got the opportunity to spend two consecutive summers in France at age 14-15 with relatives. I was hooked after the first summer. I spent a year in France as a rotary exchange student after graduating high school in the U.S. and going to UW-Madison where I majored in French.  After college graduation, I taught high school English in France through TAPIF for one year. Upon my return, I re-enrolled at the School of Education of UW-Madison to obtain my K-12 World Language Education Teaching certificate. 15 years later, I am teaching high school in Waukesha, Wisconsin and have the honor of being President-Elect of AATF-WI. I keep very busy teaching, running French Club and French National Honors society, and spending time with my husband and three daughters, ages 7, 3, and 3.
